I agree.
He should turn pro now, winning a gold medal and having all of that name recognition will just make him a lot more money, and a lot quicker.
Look at like Floyd Patterson, Lennox Lewis, Wlad Klitschko, SRL, DLH...and then more recently guys like Gamboa, Rigo, SOG, and even Khan winning the silver was putting him in a great place.
It's kind of like basketball or football here in the US. If you have a great freshman or sophomore year at college, and you're one of the top picks in the upcoming drafts, you need to take that opportunity.
The worse thing that can happen is you decide to not turn pro, and then you have a bad year(s) and your stock takes a HUGE hit.
Unless Joshua puts winning another gold over everything else, he needs to bail on the amateurs. Obviously if he is even considering going pro, then that's not the case.
He should turn pro the problem he is having he is the big dog in the amateurs and everyone loves him . When he turns pro he will be just another pro working his way up against guys that can't wait to get a piece of him. It is going to be a big adjustment for him until he has his first fight. I know so many people who stayed amateur too long. Davie Armstrong,Roger Leonard Sygar Ray's older brother, Clent Jackson just to name a few.
He should do both. Go to rio on holiday and take a suitcase full of nothing but condoms, then come back and turn pro after.
Turn pro he already has hos great amateur backing now - Gold medal no point wasting time UNLESS he wanted to remain in the amateurs
I am amazed he isn't a Pro already, the longer he leaves it the less money he will get
Anthony Joshua is deciding whether or not to turn pro or go to the next Olympics in Rio.
Do you think he should turn pro now or go onto the next Olympics to defend his title?
Personally, I think he should turn pro now. There is no way he can top winning the gold medal in the London Olympics so he should leave the armature ranks on a high.
