I agree. If they choose to have the party then they shouldn't rely on others to bring stuff. If you had offered then obviously that's okay but I think you're friend is being rude personally.

I have a friend who for the last 20 years haz been having all of her family celebrations at her house. That's fine, of course. What bugs me is that she never fails to ask (or tell) you to bring something. Her sons graduation party is next and apparently i have the choice between bringing the cole slaw or rhe sodas. it's one thing if I offer, and also ok if its a one off. Does this behavior bother any of you? My feeling is if YOU are having a party how about YOU have it? Damn
