Am I the only one that notices he burns most of his fighters by encouraging and accommodating the mariscal brawl technique? It seems that if you're aren't his baby brother all he prepares for is a blood bath, no matter how much athletic potential his fighter has.
He's not horrible, but I wouldn't trust an athlete with him.
I definitely consider Garcia an elite trainer at this point.
He's got Donaire, Rios, Garcia (just noticed he has a lot of Top Rank guys), and some others like Tyson Marquez and that Russian dude who just beat Dib.
If I had to choose a trainer right now, I'd probably pick Garcia over Nacho and Virgil, but I like Nazim better than Garcia a little bit.

Nacho doesn't belong in the same sentence as Virgil and Nazim, both of those trainers have openly used abusive language towards other fighters and their camps. Both of those trainers "Act" for the cameras as soon as they are turned on. I've been in the Gyms with both Virgil and Nazim and watched them both act in less than a professional manner. The trainers of the past as Nacho, had class and conducted themselves in a manner as a true professional is suppose to. Class acts not Classless acts. Robert Garcia is a decent trainer and has a pretty good stable of fighters right now but he has shown character flaws in the past as a trainer and person. Like laughing when his fighters were caught on TV mocking and imitating Freddy Roach, with slurred speech and shaking. Classy, wouldn't you say?
Mr Salido Character and Morality are part of being a trainer. I've been involved with boxing for over 40 years, and for one to write ones opinion on morality nobody gives a sh*t, well maybe someone should, that's why Boxing is in the current state that it is. Thanks Mr Salido.
He is a top notch trainer and I would put him it the same class as the third Mayweather not Floyd sr. or Roger but the other one .Not bad he is not as good as Beristain, Hunter,or Richardson and I can't stand Richardson.It's really hard to judge a trainer these days because of the way the fights are made now. If I were boxing today I would love to have a trainer like Garcia. Oh!!! Jeff Mayweather

I think in a long run, he is better than nazim richardson and virgil hunter... Im not impressed with nazim and virgil...
No good trainer over the years.....Ray Arcel, Angelo Dundee, Manny Steward, had to use the f..........word constantly screaming it to get their point across and they were 10 times better than this guy. With today's standards I'd rank him behind the listed 3.
Many give a ****....The father that would love to sit and watch the matches with his son, for example need not hear the f-------------word over and over. If you don't get that, I feel bad for you. Garcia is a good trainer, yes, just not a class act IMO............Is it ok to say that. ?????
Where would you rank him with guys like Nacho Beristain, Virgil Hunter and Nazim Richardson?
