Quincenera and sweet 16 are two different things, at two different ages. And am I to understand that you are rich enough that your parents will buy you a car just for turning 16, and yet you're so poor that a night dinner and bowling is a big deal? Nothing about this makes any sense.

Parties are stressful! Especially with a lot of people! I hate it when I have adult family & my teen friends over at the same time. It makes it awkward..

& id rather have a car..

To me, small parties & pictures & cookouts & etc are way more fun!:)

You can actually enjoy your friends!

Personally, I think that whole big party for 16 is a waste of time, money etc. Why can't you just have a cookoout w/ cake and ice cream?

Car and few friends sounds good. Parties are stressful especially when it is about you

So I'm about I be 15 and I'm not having a quince(sweet 16) because I don't really want one and my mom said that's fine I'd rather get a car for school, but I've been thinking if it would be nice to just get a promise ring and have pictures taken with like 4 or 3 guys and few of my girl friends as a memory and then then go out for dinner then do something fun like bowling. Opinions?
