Questions on Floyd mayweather opponent selection?

His main options are Khan and Maidana. Lara hasn't really made enough noise even at 154 lbs for their to be a call for a fight with Mayweather. Porter beat Alexander... so what? Bradley beat him as well and aside from that he is a nobody. Thurman is a nobody as well. Garcia has already stated that he is in no hurry to get a fight with Mayweather and wants to clear his division at 140 lbs.

Bradley and Pacquiao are fighting and even if they weren't, they are both Top Rank fighters. Bradley had the chance to fight Floyd in May but he chose to sign with Top Rank again. Too bad because now his options are Pacquiao and then bums.

BQ: It's not boxing fans that don't realize that it's haters. He is so good that no matter who he fights, he is probably going to win easily. That aren't many great fighters in his division right now so they call for fights with much bigger men. He has nothing more to prove. Why chase much bigger guys when approaching 40? That's just plain stupid. If he was younger I would totally agree to that. I would like to see Mayweather vs. Martinez in these last few fights but Martinez is also heading towards the exit soon.

Bottom line ,it's more about the money that can be generated than it is about having a tough fight ,that's why Mayweather is fighting Amir Khan over all the other opponents you listed other than Manny Pacquiao.

The big fight with Pacquiao is tough to negotiate since he has such bad blood with Bob Arum and will look towards fighting Pacquiao once his contract with Top Rank expires and Pacquiao should take the fight then ,that's why Bob Arum is trying to holding on to Bradley so tight and trying ti build him up.

BQ: Yes Floyd's selection is at a minimum as far as generating big money fights but there are still many intriguing fights for Floyd that could be made as the ones you mentioned along with Kell Brook and Patrick Olivier Cote.

Manny Pacquiao [Top Rank] fought Ricky Hatton, Oscar de la Hoya, Shane Mosley and Marquez [all of which are Golden Boy fighters just like Mayweather].

HBO & ShowTime co-hosted most of these events.

If Pacquiao can jump the barriers why can't Floyd Mayweather?

With that said; Pacquiao vs Mayweather didn't happen because of both fighters fault including Pacquiao.

But if Floyd really wanted to he could get the fight signed. Pride, greed and maybe some fear is what has stopped the fights from happening.

ps; If Floyd fought Lara he would NOT be considered a ''coward'', but that fight is not happening.

maybe bc nobody believes his arum excuse?

I mean, its a clear afterthought alibi... why wait 4 years? was it possible he forgot he cant work w/arum while he was talkin to the oldman during the 1st negotiation back in 2009?

Floyd is the most powerful boxer on earth. If he wanted to end the GB/TR fued he could. He has the power to unlock all these fantastic match ups that all boxing fans want but he refuses to do so to protect his record.

pacquaio your next.. it was 3 or 4 years ago. and was interviewed and ask "you say pacquaio your next"

floyd replied "don't put words in my mouth." lol at floyd..

I think people spend their time bashing his legacy when they don't have facts. He choose the best fighters in GBP but the critics will always have something negative to say.

His main options is Khan, Maidana, Lara, Porter, Thurman, or Garcia. He is called a cherry picker if he fight any of the them. People fail to relise that Bradley and Pacquiao is signed with TR. They are the best fighters that is given to him at the moment.

He can not fight Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, or Duran because they competed in a different era.

BQ: Why real boxing fans can't relise that his opponent selection is at a minimum?
