Yes they do!!!!! My parents, combined make 80,000 a year. One is a pharmacist tech. and the other is a mechanic 3. Now the the hell does someone who plays sports get paid over 200 million for a contract for just playing baseball!?!?!?!?! My Dad loves to play baseball, but does it for fun... so could they!

They are entertainers, they get what someone is willing to pay them.

It has nothing to do with their value to society.

Whatever an owner or promoter is willing to pay them is what they deserve.

When you try to regulate the amount of money someone can earn you are not in a free society.

I not agree with you because Athletes have to earn still 35year after that they have to ret. and businessman never ret.

If people are willing to pay the current prices for tickets and merchandise, then the players deserve their current rates. They get paid that much because we willingly open our wallets to them.

Pro athletes get paid too much in the same way all professional entertainers get paid to much, to include singers and actors.

I agree, seriously a billion dollars for a baseball game? If I wanted to go to a baseball game I'd go to a neighborly game, at least they won't look like ants and get overly payed lmao.

They are playing a game, A GAME, for millions of dollars, of course they are paid too much.
