James J Jeffries
The Boilermaker was not only undefeated in his prime but he broke the ribs of over half a dozen fighters that he fought including Tom Sharkey, Bob Fitzsimmons and Jim Corbett
Incredibly......Jeffries offered to fight Sharkey, Fitzsimmons and Corbett again ALL IN THE SAME NIGHT one after another and they all turned him down
Even the Great Sam Langford used to place newspaper ads for years offering to " fight any man in the World except Jim Jeffries "
Nobody has ever punched as hard as the Boilermaker did
Maybe the greatest pound for pound puncher was Stanley Ketchel, and middleweight who fought Jack Johnson even for I believe 10 rounds for the heavyweight title. Another incredible puncher was Max Baer who killed two men in the ring.
Who were the greatest punchers of all time. Fighters who could put you to sleep with one punch and who could finish hurt opponent with explosive combos? List as many as you can!
