If thats not your style, you could check out the picnic section on BBC Food, although some of them seem quite complex? (good if you wanna impress someone!) The "pressed picnic sandwich sure looks tasty though, and the filling is completely up to you! :3

This is the Food Networks "Best Picnic Recipes" and they're got some tasty options in there for you! Take a scroll through and look at the pastry section, these can be made in advance and are easy to transport, and eat! They're less mess than things like coleslaw, so theres also less washing up:-)

Strawberries and chocolate are simple and romantic, a simple salad is always great, a few crackers, fruit salad, jelly and some sandwhiches ;-)
some chocolate chip or blueberry muffins
finger sandwiches (ham and brie) or (smoked salmon and cream cheese)

Hi :-), I'm preparing a picnic for my boyfriend and I don't know what food I should take. I don't want to cook super difficult things because I'll have to do it alone. I want it to be romantic but not too much. Any suggestions?? Thank you
