Need help planning a menu!?

It all sounds pretty unhealthy to be honest, which is fine for a special occasion, but serving beans and bacon sounds really rich on top of the rest. Maybe you could steam the beans, then toss them with a bit of butter, lemon and roasted almond slices. You could also grill slices of vegetables, like zucchini, squash, mushrooms, etc.

Corn on the cob

3 bean salad

Cole slaw

Son is graduating, for his party I've decided on giving the guest a choice of pulled bbq chicken or fried chicken and the sides I know of are american potato salad, mac and cheese, bbq bacon baked beans and rolls. I know I need a vegetable. I will have a fruit tray and veggie tray. I'd like to stay away from salad (too many things needed for it). Green beans would be good but I usually cook them with bacon would it be overkill to serve 2 dishes containing bacon?
