My thoughts in broner vs maidana?

Actually, it was a great fight. Credit to Maidana and his corner for coming with the perfect gamelan. Credit to Broner, for getting up after every knockdown and doing what he had to do to finish the fight. He actually ended it all coming forward...and showed a lot of heart. Mayweather Sr would be a great addition to his camp and improve him. In my mind, this fight (along with the Malinaggi fight) showed that 147 may be too much for AB. He should try to grab his 4th title in a 4th weight class...140.

I agree with Sean that it was a very good and entertaining fight. As much as I respect Sean G, I disagree about the gameplan and about what Floyd Sr. could do to help Broner. As much as his persona bugs me, what we have in Floyd Jr., apart from the bragging and cursing of his "Money" persona, is a truly dedicated student of the game. He lives in the gym and studies tape and does everything that he can possibly do to win a fight. What we have in Broner is a very talented fighter who's head is only about partying and stardom, not about the work that it takes to get there. Floyd Sr. taught Jr. his work ethic, most likely in a very harsh way which may be why it is so easy for Floyd to be "the jerk". It does not appear that there was much discipline in the Broner household and that he ran the show.

I give all the credit in the world to Maidana. He is rugged, determined, and underestimated as a fighter. His loss to Alexander was more about him moving up in weight. His loss to Khan was about running out of time as he was about to catch Khan and wobbled him a few times. That said, this was a breakdown in Broner. Yes, he fought on and made it through the fight coming forward, but he never really took the risk to try to put Maidana away. He would peck away but when Maidana answered back, he would shut down again. Broner needs to do some serious thinking about what it takes to be the top fighter and decide whether he wants to put aside the antics and all the hangers on and really dedicate himself to being the best because Maidana is good, but he is by far, not one of the best at 147 or even at 140.

Yes ,im happy for Marcos Maidana ,he's a warrior and deserved the big victory.

When an opponent talks all the trash Broner talked ,it puts him under that much more pressure to back it up which he could not and it made him look foolish.

Ar\drien Broner made two mistakes ,first ,he's very small for a welterweight after jumping up 2 weight classes ,the other mistake he made is standing flat footed and trading with a bruiser like Maidana.

The new Mayweather

I loved when broner pumped Maidana in the but and toward the end of the fight Maidana did the same thing to see "Yes Im raping your as***s now" LOL Broner needs to hire mayweather sr so he can perfect the shoulder roll up his defense and stop fighting so flat footed! O and mayweather sr would try to increase him combinations and punch output I hope this fight humbled broner....
