Floyd Paterson was good and very fast but since he just couldn't take punches from heavy hitters like Liston I believe Tyson would take Paterson out possibly early Just as Sonny Liston did twice
Mike Tyson wins this with the greatest of ease. Tyson in 1 or 2 rounds. Patterson had a glass jaw. If a Tyson left hook or uppercut connected that would be the end. It would be lights out for Floyd. Floyd was not a heavyweight, he could have been a great lightheavyweight. The question is which corner would Cus DAmato be in?
Good matchup. Like you said, both men had the peek a boo style and were trained by Cus D'amato. Remember, Floyd Patterson was knocked out twice by Sonny Liston in the first round. Mike Tyson was much more faster than Liston, and could throw lightning quick combinations for a Heavyweight. Patterson just never had a great chin, simple as that. As underrated and good as he was, he's no match for Iron Mike.

Tyson. Patterson had problems with big punchers like Liston, and Tyson is a smaller but faster version of Liston. Floyd was intimidated by Liston and he'd be intimidated by Tyson for sure. If he was knocked out twice in the 1st round by Liston, I think Mike would do it in 4 rounds.
Patterson was great. But nobody I mean nobody was better then a prime Mike Tyson. For a bout 2-3 years the guy was not only unbeatable but it was amazing to last 3 rounds against him. Pure power, speed, fearlessness.
I would expect Tyson to win but if Floyd took Tyson into the later rounds that would be his best chance.
