Mayweather has 1 of the best defenses ever almost as technical as men like Charley Burley (whos shoulderroll diverted and didnt absorb punches against light heavyweights). If Mayweather keeps winning boxing historians in the IBRO may rank him a top 10 p4p EVER.
Yes, he is the best fighter in boxing right now. Manny Pacquiao has dominated for years, but right now, it is Mayweather's time. I agree he is one of the best defensive fighters of all time. Hate him or love him, you have to respect that he is a great fighter. People have different tastes in fighters. Some like to watch brawlers and fighters that stand toe to toe trading punches, which is exciting. Others like to watch boxers, like Mayweather who are very accurate, that hit and don't get hit, which is the style of most of my favorite boxers. I think the trash talking is usually just to hype up the fight. Sometimes he takes it too far, and I don't agree with what he says all the time, but what he does in the ring is brilliant.

People hate him because their envious. And because he brags about how much money he has. But think about it, if you had as much money as him you'd probably be in a 'I'm the greatest ever' mood as well. There's no reason to hate on him. I mean, at then end of the day, HE'S NEVER LOST. So you can't say he sucks, so the only thing people can go off of is the fact that he has more money then any of us haha. They don't call him Floyd Money Mayweather for nothing, right? I think when he actually loses at fight people can say something, but, until then, he is the greatest!
i agree he's one of the greatest defensive fighter...but he avoided challenging fights just to be where he is now, fights that matters to his claim as being the greatest, greater than ali and srr.

his style aint boring when up against true challenge... it only becomes boring against washed up old fighters, slow punchers, or boxer punchers...B-class opponents... but against those who posses a threat, sure it will look good.....man, he aint boring against the old washed up cotto
In terms of boxing skill and talent, he is definitely up there. I don't think Rigondeaux and Ward are too far behind.

I really think he is one of the greatest defensive fighters that has ever stepped into a boxing ring. I honestly don't get why there are so many people that hate him say that he's a boring boxer? Its actually a beauty on seeing a person not get hit and dodge those punches when the other boxer is trying to rip your damn head off so why would people say he is running all the time he is just boxing the way he does and he does it good looking at his record i know he tends to be cocky but he always backs that up doesn't he? and the media is always just trying to bash him and **** but when he gives to charity and stuff nobody writes about it what do you guys think?
