Marcos Maidana vs Sugar Ray Robinson 147lbs?

We will never know because they are fighting in 2 different eras. Robinson was obviously a better fighter but anything can happen in boxing.

Broner is NOT one of the best defensive fighters today. Whoever told you that lied to you. Robinson would ruin Maidana. I like Maidana, but just because he beat Broner doesn't mean he'd fair well against most any elites throughout history at 147, much less Ray Robinson.

Edit: and Angott had one win over pep. Not plural wins. Only one; at featherweight in a non title fight.

Marcos Maidana is very tough and seems to fight better as the underdog but that cannot make the impossible happen and this is why Robinson cannot loose this at welterweight even on a bad day for him.

You kidding me? SRR is regarded as the greatest fighter pound-for-pound and the greatest welterweight ever. The man was very strong, very fast, highly skilled and could also punch. He was so good that you wouldn't find any fault in his game. To borrow Larry Holmes' quote on Rocky Marciano, "Maidana wouldn't have carried Robinson's jock-strap."

Seriously? Of course, SRR. One should remember that SRR's pound for pound legacy was established at 147 lbs. and not at 160 lbs. Are you suggesting that Maidana may be the best welterweight of all time? I don't think anyone would agree with that.

Robinson by KO RD. 4

Sugar Ray Robinson was the best welterweight of all time.

He would destroy Maidana, and he would not need his defense his offense would do the job.

Marcos maidana by knockout because robinson was not good against pressure fighters.

Seriously is this a joke? The taller, faster, more skillful, harder punching Sugar will give him a KO with either hand going backwards.

robinson 3rd ko or 1st rd ko if he wants to .

Both in their prime.

We all saw how Maidana beat 1 of the best defensive fighters today in Adrien Broner.

Would Maidana penetrate Robinsons infamous defense?

Maidana would likely be the betting underdog again, but he has a thing for upsets.

Thoughts?

This question is sacrilegious buffoonery.
