Anything Italian/Sicilian will work. That opens up a lot of pasta options. One of my favorites is spaghetti all' aglio, olio, e pepperonico. Spaghetti cooked al dente, tossed in olive oil in which garlic and red pepper flakes have been sauteed. It's delicious and super cheap. You can add some pancetta, parma ham, or bacon and fresh parmesan to amp it up a bit.

Give an orange to those you don't like. "Godfather" afficianados will understand.

Different departments of my work are responsible for potlucks, and there's a bit of a competition. My department is planning a mafia-themed potluck for ours, so I was hoping for some easy, cheap ideas?

So far, we're already planning on hanging up wanted posters and assigning theme nicknames like Lefty and One-Eyed Jack and so on. (And, of course, cannoli is a given.)

Any other suggestions that, again, are easy and cheap? (Note: we mostly don't care about the competition and aren't willing to spend a ton of money -if any- so the emphasis is on the "easy" and "cheap" aspect.)
