There's tons of ways to heat your backyard of beach (or wherever you're planning to have it), so I don't think heat will be a problem! If you're still concerned about the weather, you could always have it inside and decorate the inside of your house like a paradise. Overall though, it is your sweet sixteen! You should do whatever you want to do the most :) Having it at the end of August wouldn't be the end of the world, either!



Also, if you were already thinking about a tropical or beach themed party, maybe you could go to a hotel or something and spend the night there? Most have pools and hot tubs and such, and a gathering with some of your closest friends could be really fun!

My sixteenth birthday is in the middle of September, and I live in the middle of Pennsylvania. I really want to have a Luau, but I don't know if it will be too cold or what. Should I have my sweet sixteen in August or should I come up with another theme for my party?
