Low carb protein shakes ?

ISO-1OO (dymatize)

HYDROWHEY (optimum nutrition)

The above 2 shakes have no lactose (milk), no sugar, no carbs or 1 carb, very low calorie. Take immediately after training to get protein into your muscles as fast as you can to heal faster. Then go home and eat your normal dinner. Those shakes can be a great snack meal in between your main whole foods meal. Shakes are good for breakfast with instant oats inside the shake and flaxseed oil. I say instant/quick oats, because whole oats in shakes will sink to the bottom.

If you ever have nutrition questions or something. Email me.

**remember though, protein shakes are to SUPPLEMENT your whole foods diet.

When I'm boxing and training I'm a good two stone lighter than I would be otherwise and I take about 3 protein shakes a day as well as my meals without gaining any weight. It's only the mass gainer shakes full of carbs and calories that will put weight on you. a whey protein shake only has around 100 calories on average...that's the same as a bananna. I use phd diet whey. It's about 80 cals a shake.

I also use the flavourless myprotien brand and put it in with some fruit in a blender. It's got no added flavouring crap in it.

There are loads of shakes with just protein. Check the ingredients. Protein helps burn fat as well as build muscles, so just stick to whey protein and avoid names like muscle gain etc.

WHEY PROTEIN SHOULD BE USED

Ok so I do boxing , which means I want to maintain my weight and not et heavier, so is there any post-workout low carb protein shakes out there which will be good for maintaining my weight and a recovery drink ?
