Why would Marquez duck a guy he's fought 4 times and KO'd badly last time?
Most times, fighters think they are gods. Usually it is promoters just ensuring their cash cows stay active who make fights not happen, not fighters.
Whladimir is ducking Fury.
Whladimir is more skilled, but it's a mental thing. Fury has a bigger draw, then Chisora, he beat Chisora, and never got a title shot, against Vitali, or Whlad. Fury beat Kevin Johnson. Johnson had a title shot. It reminds me of how Whlad ducked James Toney. Whlad knew Toney wasn't going down, and was more skilled. Whlad also knows Fury is bigger, and won't get pushed around like everyone else. Whlad pushed Povetkin down like four times, and got awarded a few times as knockdowns, for pushing a guy down. It was a complete joke. Whlad bully's guys with clinching, and pushing, that wouldn't work on Fury. Fury is bigger, and would turn it into an uncomfortable fight for Whlad. He knows all the dirty tricks Whlad uses, and probably does them better. I know Whlad is more skilled, but he fears the fight, and size in Fury. Fury will go down, but when he gets back up, he goes as hard as anyone.
I agree with most of your list except for a few
1) Mikey Garcia himself isn't necessarily avoiding Gamboa. In fact, I think Garcia wants the fight more than Gamboa does himself. It is Bob Arum who is making Garcia avoid Gamboa IN THE MEANTIME to groom him for his pacman fight.
Tbh, I think Garcia would school Gamboa as he is now, but a focused Gamboa has the chance of beating Garcia by UD or Late stoppage (Mikeys chin is suspect)
2) Marquez is sure as hell not ducking Provo. Marquez's counter punching abilities would make his fight with Provo another Perez vs Abdusalamov, obviously Provo being Abdusalamov.
3) I agree with the fact that Marquez is ducking Pacquiao as of right now, but not mostly because he is scared of him. Marquez (imo) won the third fight and was robbed of it, and in the next fight KO'd him. He doesn't want to risk a loss with Pacquiao to hurt his career, not because hes scared of any of Pacquiaos physical attributes. Personally I think Marquez would win in a 5th fight cause at this time he knows EVERYTHING pacman has under his sleeve. But atm I would agree that he is ducking him in a way.
4) This isn't a counter agreement but I'd like to state that I haven't noticed Ward ducking Light heavy until you mentioned it. Now that I think about it, with names like Kovalev, Stevenson, and a chess match with Hopkins, He should be scared.
