Yes. He came close to knocking out Hopkins who has one of the best chin's in the business, and he wasn't even trying to knock him out until the 12th. I think Ward could out box Kovalev as he is very awkward and quick, but if we are talking about Kovalev possessing the power to knock Ward out, then the answer has to be yes.
