Is this legal? (beach party)?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
Apart from permission to hold an event on a beach, entertainment licence, alcohol licence, security, first aid facilities and policing, he is good to go.

His first port of call should be with the local council. Just because it is a public beach doesn't mean it isn't owned by someone.

illegal to charge people (unless he has applied for permission and holds public liability insurance)

illegal to sell alcohol (unless he has a license)

illegal to have DJs playing (noise nuisance)

there is NOTHING legal about this

unhappy police, unhappy residents, unhappy party goers

i wouldnt want to vouch for his safety when 300 people get moved on and he has their money

he will also be liable for the cost of policing this and the clear up

Give us some more information.

Basically my brother is twitter famous and he wants to have a beach ( margate beach) party however my brother does not seem to think things through and basically he wants to use a public beach to have a beach party but he wants to charge people £25 per entry on the public beach. He has started selling tickets and has sold more than 300 tickets so far. he is organizing coaches and dj's to play at this event however its a public beach so would he be able to do this. i am pretty sure its illegal and he also wants to serve alcohol to his guests , i am definitely aware that this is illegal since he is serving it to a group of people who are a minimum of 16 years old. I think that this is a silly idea because he is using a public beach to have a party where they would be serving alcohol which means many could drown apart from that i also do not think he has research much into it. My mum and i think that police will come and lock off the event , however my brother does not seem to thing that anything is wrong with it. therefore i need someone to answer this.

Is this party going to be legal or illegal. taking into account of what i have mentioned above!

thanks for your help!!!
