Are you doing school cheer? You can start in the middle of the year, but I reeeeally recommend summer or beginning of the year practices so you get the extra time to learn everything.
No! It's not too late at all! I've been a cheerleader for 9 years but we have always done pom but these last two years i got into real cheer. I'm currently 14 years old, it's not too late. And if you're a 7th grader, its even better so you have more time to prep for high school if you want to do it there. And there is nothing wrong with registering in the middle of the year as long as you can catch up and are committed to it! And if you do ballet, I'm guessing you're somewhat flexible? That's even better. I hope you join up! Cheerleading is definitely a sport and it's worth it all!
I understand your position. I was into it when I was little, and now I'm getting back into it. It's never too late! Just try and go to the nearest gym and sign up for some rec and/or tumbling classes. Also, try and do 25 crunches and Russian twists for 20 seconds a day to keep your core strong, and jumps high! And as for registration, that depends on your school. At my school, we get permission slips before tryouts and turn them in at our clinics in typically the last week of February or the first week of March. We have 2 clinic days, one day off to practice, and try out the next day. About a week or so, in final period the teacher announces who made the squad and gives them their info packets. I would sign up as soon as you can, though.
no of course not.... but in my opinion, you should start out as an all-star cheerleader
yes it is more pricey than regular school cheer but you will get better faster and its so much fun
if you want to do it though i suggest you do it know because some teams are already learning there competition routine....... well i hope the best for you and i hope you find the perfect cheer team

I am interested in starting cheerleading. I'm 13 years old and I have no cheerleading experience whatsoever, but I currently play soccer and ballet.
Is it too late? Also, when registering, is it alright to register through the middle of the year?
