Is it really that much of a shock?

not really though i have to admit i thought broner would win.i was slightly shocked with how maidana was able to close the distance.i thought broner would box/kepp at a distance and let the right hand go,hurt maidana and then move in with some combinations.

what transpired however was unexpected.broner looked stiff and wasn't able to land without taking hard shots.his footwork wasn't as good as i thought it was and his reluctance to let his hands go really hurt him

i was a little shocked at how easily broner seemed to come apart straight from the first bell , i'd seen guys land on broner but not shake him up like that plus once under pressure he lost his composure and his guard drop which is something floyd wouldn't do . there's been many fighters that have been beaten by the under dog but it was the way he was getting roughed up that shock me a bit .

i think i had convinced myself that broaner was in another league to maidana ,i was very wrong

@merc broner was a 6-1 on favourite ....so if i bet $60 i'd win $10.....

Doc, Maidana isn't an underdog... I'm from Cincinnati and wanted Broner to win, but Maidana's KO rate is 91.1% (pre fight) compared to Broner's 77.8%.

People were under the impression that Adrien was the new Floyd, and that theory was proven wrong when Adrien hit the canvas.

From the writers headlines and fan comments for today, it sounds as though a huge superstar has fallen.

We all knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Is it such a shock that it happened? Is it because most people expected Broner to beat Maidana, or was it the one sided nature of the beat down? Did you think he would reach a higher level of opposition before getting beat and who did you think was going to beat Broner if not Maidana.
