Depends on who you ask, but generally Floyd isn't appreciated as much as he should be because his media image isn't as clean cut as a lot of the past champions. Skill wise Floyd is the best of his era, but nobody likes an abusive, arrogant thug, and sometimes that is the image Floyd is given.
It depends who you ask. The people who say he's not the best p4p today are underrating him. He's been in the top p4p for quite some time.
The people who say he's the best p4p ever are not overrating Floyd but underrating past greats which they have no clue about.
I remember in the 1990 everyone was saying Tyson was the greatest heavyweight ever, that no 1 could ever beat him, etc. Even conservative boxing fans in HBO were considering it. He has retired and very few boxing experts place him in their top 10 heavyweight list.
A fighter needs to retire to put their career in retrospect.
People say hes the best like the other guy but their many who are better yh hes damn quick on feet and can deliver a flurry of combinations plus the use of the shoulder roll is amazing. But he was supposed to lose to jose luis castillo. He has been ducking manny pacqouai for about five years and hes excuse he didnt like the drug test the other people here arent true boxing fans doubt have even watched a match. Yh he has 44 wins but missing many great names on that list
he's neither - most people title him the best in the world and rightly so, he's earned it! 44 fights 44 wins 26 KO's.. nobody has a matching record.
