Right now the skill level in boxing is much higher then MMA because MMA is still very young and not nearly as many people have trained in MMA
How would Boxing be tougher? Boxing is a part of MMA! You can use boxing in MMA
I would say its tougher, because in mma if you get stunned by a punch you can grapple up and hug for the rest of the round, in boxing you've got to take the hits. But I'd say there is the same amount of skill required because boxers master standing up and mma master nothing but have a wide range of fighting styles
Boxing is superior to MMA in every respect. One Floyd Mayweather fight made more money than the entire year's worth of MMA activity. The idea that MMA can hurt or effect boxing is ludicrousness, MMA has it's place, but boxing is the sport of kings. Neither sport is easy, both are tough in their own rights, but I will always have a higher opinion of boxing.
Both Boxing and MMA are difficult but if we compare both Boxing and MMA, Boxing is better.. Boxing is an art of fight but MMA is a competitive or training format.. Boxing deals with both offensive and defensive and MMA is not like that..

mma is tougher but less refined....boxing is more artful, more controlled and started off as a gentlemens sport....mma is more dangerous with greater risk to health and less controlled....but as always the sportsmen make the sport.
MMA is more complex than boxing cause boxing just punches and in mma you gotta find a way to arm lock him and his weakness and all that bull crap.
yeah MMA is more of a variety, but boxing just looks much more tougher, what do you think?
