I really hope not because I like Porter. Malignaggi was his first defence of the championship so I expected a statement of intent, he's world champion and not going anywhere, and that's what we got from him.
Malignaggi was doing some dirty hinting in that interview but he was gracious when he climbed off the floor, hugging the champ and telling him what a great job he did and how far he is going to go in the sport.
Porter puts in the work and has good genetics, I don't think he's a cheat.

Paula is a slick boxer, runner, who isn't very easy to hit, especially for a guy with ordinary skills like Porter. I think Porter fought Paula in the best way he could. He jumped on him and kept him hurt and defensive. If he tried to outbox Paula, he might have lost.

In every fight that I have seen Porter, he uS shown power and volume punching, ask Drvon Alexander. He reminds me of a younger Pacquiao, slightly more thoughtful. He was a Pacquiao sparring partner. Innocent til proven guilty...just like Pacquiao.

Look I don't want to take any credit away from him, I was extremely impressed with his last fight but where has this power come from?
He was a decent puncher at best struggling with Alfonso Gomez and going life and death with Julio Diaz in a close fight many think he lost. Next thing you know he obliterates Paulie Mallignaggi in a way that has never been done before.
He looked like a breed between prime Mike Tyson and Shane Mosley lol. I guess it's innocent until proven guilty so full credit to him. Watching this interview with Paulie is what made me suspicious, he didn't actually say it but he was alluding to it:
