no.....name me one great fighter he fought whilst the fighter was in his prime...he does however have numerous good names on his record but these were mostly on the way to bowing out....ortiz a young fighter would prob have beat him if it had continued.....corales did bt him...the only good thing about mayweather is his record...when that goes he wont have much claim to any sort of greatness...he hasnt beaten other great fighters in their prime...

simply put no , floyd is a great boxer but he hasn't done enough to be talked about as the greatest ever for that you need to fight the best fighters out there like Ray Robinson did like henry armstrong did and like Ali did . all these fighters have lost fights because they took risks and fought the best they could while floyd has played it safe fighting good but not great boxers.

what does floyd need to do to be the GOAT, well it's to late for that now if he had fought manny pac and beat him 3 years ago that would of put him top 10 maybe ,plus floyd needed to be more active rather than fight once a year .

He's certainly one of the most boring boxers but then again Georges St. Pierre is one of the most boring mixed martial arts fighters and he's also one of the best. So perhaps Mayweather is one of the best boxers. All I know is I fell asleep watching a re-run of his fight against Mosley...
