Thurman seems like he has the goods, he passed his first major test against Diego Chavez. Hes shown that he is well rounded and has more tools than just power, combine his well rounded (good not great) tools with his exceptional power (great) and u have a potentially elite fighter.
I used the word potentially cause he looks like he has the goods but hes not there yet. I think hes next fight will be against Soto Karass, interesting fight but not the one that will get him to that top spot. At some point he will have to face the title holders in the division to prove you right
I'll pick him against Guerrero and Alexander but that doesnt prove much unless he steps in against them and fight the other titleholders like Bradley and Broner. Not all of them, just a couple
If he is, he hasnt proved it. 147 has 2 undefeated veteran champions in Mayweather and Bradley. There is also the great Manny Pacquiao.
The Ring rates him #8 behind #7 Broner (wba champ), Guerrero, #5 Alexander (IBF champ), #4 Bradley wbo champ), #3 Kell Brooks, 2 Pacquiao and 1 Marquez...if he wants to be the best he better prove it in the ring. He should be shooting for Brooks or Broner. I heard he tried to fight Guerrero but his people said that fight would be a waste of time.
