I don't think Freddie Roach has a racist bone in his body. I've seen the video and what he said was definitely offensive but I also think it was something done during a heated confrontation.
Hopefully after Manny Pacqauio wipes the floor with Brandon Rios this Saturday Freddie will apologize to the Garcia camp because what he did was out of line and disrespectful.
Freddie is old and white, so being racist will likely come with the territory.
I saw the video of the altercation. Freddie freaked out too much, but he's got a confrontational attitude to begin with.
Both him and Garcia were okay IMO. Robert was definitely cool during the whole situation.
Freddie started it and acted like a cranky a*shole, but unless I'm the only one that's seen Roach walk and talk over the years, it's not unexpected at all.
Ariza is a total scumbag though, he definitely came off horribly. That dude is a piece of sh*t, there's a reason he can't seem to get along with anyone.

I had a fighter "Santana D" that spent about three months out in LA, training at the Wild Card Gym. "Santana" always spoke highly of Freddy and that Freddy didn't take any shite from anybody. "Santana" also said that he believed that Freddy having Parkinson's Disease also added a little to chip on Freddy's shoulder.
In my opinion Freddy just got worked up and said the first thing that came to his mind. I don't think that Freddy is a Racist nor do I believe he dislikes anyone of any color, because in his eyes they all end up the same GREEN. All those colors especially that one keep his gym doors open.
Ariza like STICK AND MOVE stated is indeed a AZZHOLE. I know the guy, I (we) worked with the guy and he is pure trash that thinks his shite doesn't stink. Ariza kicked a guy with Parkinson's, ho sad is that. Freddy did not touch him but yet, Ariza pushed kicked him. What a joke.
He has an opinion about things I guess, but you can't accuse someone who works with Filipinos, Armenians, Pakistanis, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Chinese and all sorts of other people, a racist.
Alex needs to be disciplined, I don't care who started the fight or what roach said, there is no place in boxing for that type of behavior. I agree with others who say he's basically scum, it's obvious he's still carrying some unresolved issues from when they worked together while everyone else seems to have put it behind them.

I think Roach come off abrasive, but isn't a racist. He has trained many fighters of many different nationalities. I also think this was a product Roach remembering Rios and Margarito teasing his Parkinson's and his pre-existing fued with Ariza.
In my opinion, Garcia was the only one descent in the whole situation.
Racist? No, but he sometimes disdains fighters regardless of race whom he thinks do not measure to his standards and expectations, including some whom he actually trained and handled. The funny thing in some cases, it was actually Freddy who could be faulted for their fall or failure. case in point is Gerry Penalosa who was a very shifty,smart defensive boxer-counter puncher whom he transformed into a devastating puncher but vulnerable against the fast, highly mobile fighters in the lower divisions, notably Koreans and Japanese.
