Is 13 too late to start gymnastics?

You can't start competition until level 4. I think you can get there in a year or two if you work hard. Most gymnasts stop at age 18. So you have 5 years of gymnastics. Realistically you can probably get to a level 5 or 6. Maybe a 7 if you work really hard and if it comes naturally to you. You don't need to worry about competing against little kids, if they're the same skill level as you then they are valid competition and it doesn't matter their age. There are age groups though so you shouldn't be with 3 year olds.

I think it is probably age banded so that you wouldn't be competing against little kids.

Lowest competitive level is usually 4 so that seems achievable.

Whether you can reach level 7? Possibly. It would require a mix of hard work and talent though.

I'm not a gymnasts, but it is defiantly not to let to start gymnastics. I believe you have the confidence and determination to compete with who ever in your level. It's up to you to shine when the light is dimmed.

No, in my opinion I played bowling since I was 5 and I'm been on a few teams in the summer!

Look your best bet is to go to a professional school and learn and pay attention to everything they show you.

Practice makes perfect and I know from experience.

As long as you work hard you'll get there

Im 13 and just started gymnastics in november. Im only a level two. Do you think i will ever be able to compete? Im not thinking about the olympics or anything.. Maybe like a level 7 would be nice. And when i do start competing will it be with little kids? If any of you are gymnasts can you give me some tips? Thanks.
