BUT 40 people is far too many, it will get out of hand as you can't possibly control that many people on your own.If you must go ahead with this many, then get a team of trusted friends together beforehand and agree how you will together manage the door, what you'll do if people you don't know gate-crash and cause trouble, and how you'll clear up the mess after etc. You will need to know that your friends will support you and have your back.
Decide in advance what time the party ends ( don't wait for complaints), and start turning down the music and encouraging people to leave.
And get loads of bin bags!
I have never been to a house party where the parents didn't find out, someone did through up on the carpet windows didn't get smashed carpets didn't get burnt and police didn't get called

You are going to be so busted when your parents come back. Don't think for a moment that they aren't going to notice all the rearranging of breakables and their drawers. And, believe me, you won't get everything put back just as it was.

So my parents are away and im having a party yes i know that could end badly without the right approach. So im having about 40 people which yes sounds like allot but i know all of them very well. I have some people i dont know very well but there only girls all the boys im having a mates. Ive told everyone that if someone shows up i dont know about they will not be allowed in and if they do i will send everyone home. I wont be drinking and stuff and i will remove all valuables, glass, etc and i will go to the extent of even emptying draws and stuff. What im asking you is have any of you ever had a party that nothing got broken and your parents never found out. Its too late to back out now. I live quite far from my neighbours but there still in ear shot should i tell them that if there are any noise complaints that they should call me + i will turn the music right down just after 12.. Any tips to make it a successful night and without the risk of anything getting damaged. Thanks :)
