If Frazier can beat Ali, why can't Tyson?

The only way I see Tyson losing to Ali is if the fight goes longer than 5 rounds

Tyson couldn't have beat Frazier, let alone Ali, Mike never fought an A level Heavyweight in their prime, couldn't fight backing up, and in truth couldn't take a punch, he was as protected as Joe Calzaghe, Tyson couldn't beat Ali because he didn't have the skill, heart or will to beat Ali, Mike simply wasn't good enough to beat a great fighter, Foreman, Frazier, Liston, Norton even guys like Shavers, Chuvalo and Williams would have cleaned Mike's clock.

Frazier didn't beat a prime Ali. The prime Ali before his 3 year layoff was a step above the Ali that Frazier fought. Tyson also didn't have Frazier's stamina and wouldn't be able to fight 15 rounds at a fast pace.

Ali in his prime had the reflexes and the foot-speed to evade most of Tyson's big punches. Even when Ali gets caught, his chin (the chin that took Liston's, Frazier's, Foreman's, and Shaver's best punches), would hold up. Tyson stopping Ali within 5 rounds is unlikely given that lesser fighters took Tyson the distance.

A prime Ali wins a comfortable decision over a prime Tyson.

That's what Ali will actually do, bring Iron Mike to the distance. Ali always studies his opponents. Tyson is never used to long bouts and Ali is without a doubt one of the toughest in heavy weights in a time the HW was planked with big time punchers in Foreman, Liston, Frazier, Shavers. If Ali can take their punches, he can take Tyson as well. And Ali is not only durable, he's also hard to hit.

Because of the different mindset!

Fraziers main weapons against Ali were is lion heart and iron will.

Ali was the master of psychological warfare, but Frazier was too tough in any way (also mentally), so Ali couldn′t take him out of his game plan.

But Tyson is very different, he lost the belief in himself too fast (multiple times during his career!). Ali would exploit his sensitivity.

That′s the main reason.

Also Ali in his prime I think would have beaten Frazier easier and also defeat any version of Tyson due to his unique footwork, reflexes and unmatched lightning combinations from long range.

Young Iron Mike got some problems and had to go the distance against James Tillis who had a slightly compareable fighting style to Ali. You could recognize that Tyson didn′t really know what to do against these unusual movements and light feet. Now Ali was superior to Tillis in any important category!

Kind regards from germany!;)

Iron Mike Tyson could never in a million years beat a prime Muhammad Ali of 1966, or 1967. Smokin Joe Frazier had a very good management team, Cloverlay Inc, out of Philadelphia. He was carefully guided by his trainer Yancey Yank Durham. After Smokin Joe won the Olympic Gold Medal in the 1964 Tokyo games, he turned pro, in 1965. As Frazier began to pile up victories and climb up in the ratings, Durham kept Frazier away from the Heavyweight Champion of the World who happened to be Muhammad Ali, who was in his boxing prime, super fast, like lightning, who could glide all around the ring for 15 rounds, if he had to.When Ali was stripped of his title and boxing license, for refusing military induction, later convicted in a Houston Court room. following his 7th round knock out of Zora Folley, at Madison Square Garden, to successfully defend his title for the ninth time, Frazier was no#1 contender, he refused to partake in the WBA tournament to find a new champion. The tournament consisted of past Ali victims, Karl Mildenberger , Ernie Terrell, newcomers Oscar Bonavena, Thad Spencer, and Jerry Quarry .In !971 Frazier did not beat a prime Ali, he beat a rusty one that had not fought steadily in 3 and a half years. Tyson could not beat Ali, because he lacks intelligence, he is all braun and no brain And he could be taken advantage of very easily.Ali was way better than Tyson victims, James Bonecrusher Smith and Jose Ribalta. .Even Frazier's victims were class acts and Frazier did not have mental issues which could play into Ali's hands. Frazier did not have less educated thugs to handle his preparation like Tyson did. Joe was a family man and did not throw spouses across the living room, which is very unmanly like.

tysons mental instability and his lack of stamina would be his downfall in this fight and frazier beat ali but ali had lost some of his speed he had when he fought sonny liston for instance that version of ali would have beaten frazier if they fought for the first time in 1967 ali had every advantage over tyson except for power also frazier was a warrior with heart he didnt give up on a strategy when fights didnt go his way

Tyson can! Once the round start, Tyson is coming right after him, and once Ali is cornered and has nowhere to run, Tyson is gonna bring those devastating haymaker hooks and take Ali's head off! Ali cannot take blows to the head, so imagine if Tyson gave him one shot, Ali would stumble and land on his head, shaking for the 10 count! This is fact not muthafukking fiction nigggaa.

Exactly. Ali would toy with him for five rounds, frustrating and tiring him out the he would go to work and win by K.O. shortly after.

The only way I see Tyson losing to Ali is if the fight goes longer than 5 rounds
