Well for an outside party I would have some sort of heat source like an outdoor fireplace. If you don't have one, I would do it indoors. I think if it's really cold people might think you invited them over but didn't want them in your house - which it tacky IMO.
I would suggest making it pot luck so everyone brings a dish instead of a gift. This way you don't have to make everything and go to the expense yourself.
As for dished for this age group, I would do appetiser types of foods like wings, veggies with dip, mini meatballs, etc. Or alternately PIZZA is always good with this age group.
Have fun!
Yes I agree, some type of heat source, fire pit or bonfire. For christmas party at my house i make a pickle tray form various types of pickles and relishes. I also make a olive tray with different type of olives, cheese and cracker trays. Some hot cocoa with peppermint in it or cinnomin. I make unpitted dates stuffed with an almond and rolled in sugar. maybe some cake and cookies
Invite some of your friends and then cook many foods with them then bon appetit
well the best thing you can do party outise make fire finger food
pizza
sandwiches
chips with dips
vgetbale platter with ranch dip
cookies
drinks
This year I want to throw a Christmas Party at my house. I want to invite a small amount of close friends, they'd be ranging from sophmores to seniors (in high school), guys and girls. I want to steer away from having the whole party being about exchanging gifts however, also secret santa might not work out because not all guests at the party are too close to exchange gifts with one another. So any suggestions on what to do, how to decorate, just suggestions on anything would be great!
Also, my house is very awkwardly set up for parties. My yard is right off the kitchen, so we usually have parties in the yard and allow people to walk in to the kitchen and to use the bathroom. Any suggestions for having outdoor parties even though it will be cold? I could have it inside, but I think it would be less awkward and easier to hold it like we normally do.
Thanks for all the help(:
