you could do a tournament but your going to have to get registered get a medical buy a uniform/gloves etc a medical alone will cost about £100 on its own were a club the doctor comes in checks evreybody and the cost is minimal if anything .Also you say your good how do you know you havent even sparred with anybody yet.Im 50 years of age and last year we had a guy simon join our gym from poland he was 6.6 built like a truck and claimed he was nearly national cham in poland so we had a spar for 3 rounds i let him hit me there was nothing in his punches and we kept telling him to slow down and get some meaning in his punches he wouldnt listen half way through the 4th round of the spar it just let loose on this guy and knocked him out so you mite think your good but to me it sounds like you dont have the heart you should join a gym the boxing union is small and i could walk into any gym and don a pair of gloves and you would know hes a boxer so the bottom line is JOIN A GYM !!!!!!
Yeah you really should give it a try. I think boxing in the gym with other boxers and coaches can help you learn more from them by watching them and you can ask them for advice. You may be nervous in your first tournament but it will boost your confidence.
I feel you about meeting new people but on the bright side, you will get to know more people that loves boxing. Good luck!!
what's good to you ? a lot of Practice ? best way to learn is form the pro's.
Read some books of boxing written by pro's and watch some YouTube videos, by doing this you will see where you need to make improvements learning and acting on it.
