How to throw a low-budget sweet sixteen?

Chuck e cheese

I'm having a sweet Sixteen in March this coming year. I've been working and so far I have $700 saved up and I have 6 months to go (i work for my family business, we're DJ's and such). I have 100% free DJ and state of the art lighting so the dance floor and up lighting will be beautiful. I have TVs, green screen entertainment, and all sorts of things. It expect a budget of about $1000-1500 tops but under is so much better. It think I'll have it home catered with the basic stuff. It's a disco theme. How much would home catering cost for 50-75 people? I'm inviting 125 but I'm expecting no less than 50 no more than 100. My caterers charge $10/pp, is it easier to get it catered? I will have a popcorn machine and a candy buffet and ice cream buffet (we own the pop corn machine). Would a basic hall lit up be the best choice or go fancier? What could I have at the event? Should I give away gift cards as prizes? Also, should it be semi formal or should I have a costume contest for best 1970s look? Also, should I limit to 70s and disco music or branch out? This is my first event I'm planning so I can get used to planning other people's. Any help is appreciated! I want it to be a big huge blow out on a reasonable budget, mainly of food and a hall. How much does a bar tender cost? Should it be bring your own alcohol for the adults (family and friends parents)? I'm also giving out as a favor margarita glasses so everyone can have mock tails, is that a good favor? And how much is it to customize them??? Thank you!!!! Please nothing rude. I work hard and maintain an honor roll average in all honors classes and I do a lot for people. I'm asking everyone to bring animal items to donate to the needy Shelter.
