Food: bagels, mini pizzas, sliders, pigs in a blanket, chips + salsa, popcorn. Also provide a fruit platter and water and soda. Instead of a classic birthday cake, you can set up an ice cream bar where the guests choose their own ice cream flavor and toppings.
Games: scavenger hunt, mummy wrap, pass the parcel, charades, spoon race, bean bag toss, sponge relay...
Prizes: gift certificate to Starbucks, a bookstore, game store, any local cool place...cap, ear phones, chocolates...
A bbq is a must for a party also you said your renting a pool so a cocktail bar would be brill! Can't beat a cocktail by the pool and make some jelly shots and skittle vodka(google recipe) also get a slush puppie machine for some vodka slush puppys there unreal:) and some cool board games for him and his friends to have fun with this one would be my first choice

And maybe have a competition whoever wins the game gets to make out with the person of there choice for 7minutes or wins a bottle of wine? Would sound like a brill party no-one would forget:) also food wise order a dominos pizza some restaurants to special party deals where they deliver so much food for a special price just look about and see what restaurant would do it:) enjoy the party x
My little cousin's birthday is coming up. (turning 12) and this is his FIRST time opening a party. He wants me to ask how to throw a good party? Yes, a lot of people are coming. Now, he just needs to know:
- What food?
- what games?
- what prizes? (he likes to do giveaways)
- what extras?
