This can vary quite a bit.
Where are you?
New York, Los Angeles or Chicago will have far different prices than Baltic Connecticut.
A chain restaurant or a high end restaurant or an independently owned restaurant will all have different prices.
How far is the limo going to transport you? Are you going to have them wait?
Does the restaurant you want to go to have a website? If so check out the menu and figure 2 meals using the highest price items on the menu as a benchmark. Figure drinks and also dessert and a TIP.
Your Limo driver will also expect a TIP.
It depends on how much the restaurant charges of course. Call the restaurant and ask them.
If you're looking at a place like Olive Garden, $100 dollars is PLENTY (including appetizer, main course for each of you, two glasses of wine AND a tip!). If you're looking at a fancier place or a place unique to your town, expect to pay $15-$20 per plate of nice pasta or seafood. $100 dollars will also cover your bases at a fancier restaurant like the one mentioned. I'm sure she will be very grateful and see just how much you missed her!
If you want to find a local place, plug your city into Yelp.com and search for "Italian". You can look at some reviews and check out the prices and menu all on Yelp!
Take $150 just in case. I took my daughter out and all we had was a couple of appetizers and soup and salad and a soft drink and it was $55. You sound like a lovely boyfriend, I hope you have a great time.
It depends on whether you will have an appetizer, dessert and alcohol in addition to your entree. Going over $100 is not hard to do if you are "pulling out all the stops."
So my girlfriend went out of town for 6 weeks, its almost over. And in celebration of it im taking her to a nice Italian restaurant, limo and all. But my question is how much money should i be prepared to spend at this dinner, im pulling out all the stops. Id assume $100 should covers us both but if im wrong id love to know. And no neither of us eat a ton, so just the average meal at a fancy restaurant.
Thanks to all who take the time to answer.
