You only need to feed once. Buy 25 hot dogs and 20 hamburgers. I always serve this kind of meal with a potatoe salad and a fruit salad. You will have more than enough.

My family is hosting a picnic and providing hot dogs and hamburgers for approximately 20 people. There are 4 children (ages 4, 5, and two 7 yr olds) and 16 adults (ages 12-75). How many hot dogs and hamburgers should we plan to buy? The picnic starts at 1pm so should we plan to feed them once or twice?
