How do I have an awesome pool party?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
I threw a pool party once and suprisingly im amazing at planning things, PEOPLE WHO I DIDNT EVEN KNEW CAME.!! First: Well what's a pool party without a bunch of floaties, right? Fill your pool with different, colorfull floatie thingies. Water guns are always fun to have around.! And water balloons, the small ones. Obviously pumpin music. LOTS of finger foods and dips. Chips, little sandwiches, cookies with hams and cheeses, salsas. And various options for the main food. But imagine, who would serve steak and something fancy on a pool party? Go with Hamburgers and Hotdogs.!!! Also be sure to have a vast variety of drinks avaibable at all times.!! :)) hope i helped.!!

Keeping everyone fed & entertained is the key to having a successful party.

Great ideas such as party games can be a blast once everyone is involved and having fun.

Check these sites out. I've used all of these for many, many parties : They are really cool and offer lots of fantastic ideas !

You can also make it memorable and fun by having everyone create their own hand painted & glitter t-shirts ! Try to get everyone's correct size and get plain white ones. It's best to do outdoors. Each of your guests will have a unique and creative lasting memory to keep from your special day for quite sometime ! Just Google all the supplies you'll need and have a blast !

My daughter's best friend went to visit her a few weeks ago and brought her t-shirt's that she created when they were 5, 8 and 16 years old.

They both are 28 today ~ what a wonderful moment they had to rekindle all those wonderful memories from their past.

Fun Pool Party Games

Prize Dive

Diving for a coin in a swimming pool is a fun activity, but if you're having a pool party and you want to give away prizes, why not incorporate prizes with a fun swimming pool game? Instead of just tossing one coin into the center of the pool, toss in a handful of coins or small prizes. Pool party guests can have fun diving for items they can keep.

You don't have to go broke with this fun pool party game. All you need are brand new pennies, nickels, dimes, and maybe a few quarters. Other ideas include fancy polished stones, faux gems, small unbreakable trinkets, and anything else that's heavy enough to sink to the bottom but not hazardous to the safety of pool party guests. Toss the items into the pool, and give guests the green light to begin searching.

Swimming Pool Duck Race

This fun and exciting swimming pool game is one of the most enjoyable games that all party guests will enjoy. It provides all the fun of a duck race without the little extras that real ducks leave behind.

To play this amusing swimming pool game, provide a plastic floating duck for each pool party guest. Have players line up at one end of the pool with their ducks in the water ready to go. After the appointed referee announces the start of the race, the players must push their ducks across the pool and back again. This doesn't sound very difficult, but players can't touch the ducks with any body part other than their nose. It's more difficult than it sounds!

Wet T-Shirt Relay

This wet t-shirt relay isn't the typical wet t-shirt contest. This wet t-shirt contest is fun and appropriate for all ages. All you need are two large t-shirts and two teams of pool party guests willing to play this fun and exciting game.

Line up equal numbers of pool party guests on either sides of the pool. Give a wet t-shirt to the first person in line on each side. At the start of the game, the first person must put the wet t-shirt on over their bathing suit and swim to the other side of the pool. After touching the other side of the pool, the person must swim back, remove the t-shirt, and pass it to their team member who then must put it on and follow suit. The first team to complete this task wins the game.

After you have made the guest list, you will need to begin with the food and drink list. What you serve at the party will depend on your budget. Some ideas include hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, sandwiches, sodas, tea, and water. Whatever you decide on serving, you will need to make sure that you have enough for everyone. That's where the guest list comes in good. If you have plenty of time before the party, ask people to RSVP, that way you will have a better idea of how many are coming.

Well I'm having a pool party at my country club next week and I really want it to be fun. I'm already planning on having a slip and slide down a hill. What should I do for food, games, etc?
