He's no fraud. Before Oscar became a businessman he was fighter and a good one at that. He fought every opponent available and just ducked no one. I believe to this day that he beat Floyd back in 2007 and i gotta agree with BLog that he beat Shane and ofcourseTito when both were undefeated. Yeah he beat a fading Julio Cesar Chavez Sr twice but i'd like to believe he will beat JCC just the same even in the latter's prime. IMHO the gift decisions Oscar had against Sturm and Sweet Pea were no bigger than the fights he should have won. Oscar is the reason the 2.4 million ppv is a record and never Floyd though Floyd ofcourse contributed too. Oscar is/was the Golden Boy of boxing and up until now he's still shining
Oscar is a class act and a hell of a fighter, but I am pretty sure Felix Sturm isn't too happy with the decision he got when he fought Oscar. Come to think of it, I was standing ringside in the Thomas & Mack arena when Pernell Whitaker beat Oscar and got the same treatment from those blind scoring judges, so I kinda think questionable decisions might have played a role. That said, I though Oscar did enough to beat Tito and Mosley in their second fight and he got the short end of the stick those times, so I guess it evens out over time. I don't consider Oscar a fraud.
Not a very good question in my opinion, it begs a specific type of answer. If you think that De La Hoya is a fraud, make your case, then ask whether people agree or not. De La Hoya did want to change the way boxing business was conducted but even as big a star as he was, he could not make significant changes alone. We will see how he is able to manage with Schaffer gone.

It might have started with the fishnet stockings but something tells me it started way before that. Plus he's a Mexican trying to pose as white. That seems popular today.
He's quite successful as a former pro champion and now a successful businessman. I don't see any fraud in him.
