the best thing about parties is meeting new people. go on the basis you made good friends with one so why not any of the others. what you have in common is a friendship with a particular person and guess, what, lots of people are shy too. mingle and ask questions of the others to find some common ground apart from the hostess.

There comes a time in life when you have to screw up your courage and put yourself out there. Mingle, talk to people, smile and be friendly. You might be surprised at the results.

So i made really good friends with the people we went on our school trip with, we spent a week with them so we got to know them really well and she has invited me and my friend who went on the trip to go to her birthday party.



The thing is we dont really know her friends that she has invited as they are the year above us in school and we only know like 3 of them from the school trip and i think its gonna be awkward as im really shy and we dont speak to any of her friends at all, how can we make it less awkward?
