I agree that Emmanuel was the only bright spot on the HBO team. Max Kellerman is like listening to someone run their fingernails across a chalkboard. Roy Jones puts too much effort into trying to sound intelligent and Jim Lampley seems like he rather be doing something else.
As far a Showtime goes, Al Berstien he's very knowledgeable, but he reminds me of the Uncle that comes to your house for Thanksgiving and you can't wait for him to leave. And Paulie looks just plan creepy.
The best one can do is just mute the TV.
Historically HBO has always been superior to Showtime in the boxing arena, but with the addition of Floyd Mayweather to Showtime's programming, it's about equal today.
HBO. I kind of agree with your assesment somewhat as well. But I like everybody on HBO. Harold Ledderman's scorecard is almost always identical to mine. Jim Lampley is a legend. Who can watch a fight without Michael Buffer? Roy Jones Jr gives a great fighters perspective to each fight. And Max Kellerman is awesome. He is a phenomenal commentator and uses statistics correctly. He also use to rap. =)
showtime = afraid to ask Floyd = coward
HBO = has the heart of a dragon
.
.
you can watch it again Mayweather vs Guerero ending .. interview Floyd
Let's get ready to rumble!
which one has Max Kellerman? that one is better.
I find Showtime to be less biased when it comes to the commentary. They tell the facts like they are, but their commentary is less exiting. Don't know about you guys, but whenever Lampely orgasms when a boxer gets KOed, it gets me exited. Only good commentator that was there was Emmanuel Stewart R.I.P.
