Edit: Maybe outside the ring they don't feel as much adrenaline and that's why?
A state champion boxer would be very accustomed to state champion fighting rules, fighting to score points, given strategies and tactics, gloves. You very rarely see a knock out in the first round because you cannot inflict that kind of punch with gloves in the first rounds, you need to slow someones reactions with body shots. A street fight is almost a contrary situation, they rarely last longer than 30-45 seconds unless one or both of the fighters are afraid of getting hurt. If they go at it, someone is going down.
Because real boxers don't get involved in street fights. They're better than that. Real fighters avoid those circumstances and if they're really good and are pushed into the fight, they would unload a rapid combination and KO the street fighter.
A large extent of who wins is due to mere confidence whether natural or due to inebriation. Pain numbing is also a factor be it booze, PCP etc.
Confidence to a certain degree can be attributed to genetics though it is also heavily influenced by environment.
I have seen so many bar fights breakout between skilled ruffians even the dirty fighter ones and built like a twig drunk f!@#s who snap and are often high on meth or just extremely drunk.
The skinny guy in the moment has no rules and nothing to lose, his head is empty apart from the moment and the rage. My bet goes to him as he more than likely wins.
Sounds fishy to me.
I do not believe that any untrained boxer would beat a trained boxer. I also find it hard to believe that any trained boxer would get into such a "fair" street fight, as he would risk damaging his hands and getting a law suit if he hurt the other person.
Boxers avoid fighting, and street fighting has no refs and no rules.
But hey, you were there.
In my opinion, skill trumps everything, every time.
Skills are very much important in fighting than genetics if you are a professional fighter. You can knock down your opponent only through your skills.
If my memory serves me correctly, in street fighting anything goes.
A boxer usually only knows how to box, and won't use legs, or dirty tactics.
Adrenaline; the urge to win. All comes up to adrenaline.
Hope this helped.
i dont fear the guy who has natural talents, but i fear the guy who is hardworking
So a friend of mine is not a professional fighter but he knows how to street fight with his fists only... he had a fight with this state champion boxer and my friend beat his a** it was a good clean fight, fists only,
me and this guy are the same race and we are genetically strong people physically, the other guy state champion boxer was bigger as well, so what do you think, why some boxers good in ring but not out of ring?
