Cotto's achilles heel would be that in your - face -fighter. Margarito TKOed Cotto in a fight Cotto was winning. PAcman tkoed Cotto in a fight that in the beginning rounds, was going Cotto's way. Now if you study Miguel, you can see that he has mastered pain. You can throw the kitckhen sink and all you see is that same poker face - never showing emotions. Shane would of been the first man to beat Cotto had Sugar not been too cautious fighting Miguel in the later rounds. You can see Mosley's reaction and it was that of a man who was very confused whether or not he had Miguel hurt. Now Cotto against Floyd is a different story.
GGG vs Cotto?
GGG would be the third man to stop Cotto...and this whether prime or not. PAcquaio, much the same as Margarito doesnt care whether you're hurt or not. Dang, GGG is TOO! These three will come at you forcing the action and it's up to Miguel if he starts backpedalling. GGG will break Cotto's will just like the other smaller guys did him. I would be very surprised if Cotto hears the final bell
Well right now I'd give it to GGG since Cotto is a little older now and he hasn't been the same since the first Margarito fight and many debate he is damaged goods. Now if it was 2006 Cotto it'd be much closer but Cotto definitely would give GGG a hard time even now. Without a doubt the most difficult opponent GGG has faced.
Golovkin is nothing like Margarito. Margarito had an iron chin but had no skill whatsoever. He was basically a tank. Golovkin has monstrous power, but he is also a lot more skilled than he appears to be. He cuts off the ring so well and is almost always in position to throw hard, clean punches. The only thing is that he hasn't really been tested because his opponents go into survival mode when they feel his power and aggression.
Cotto is already a leaving legend at this point; Gennady is an emerging legend. Gennady beats Cotto badly and more quickly than Margarito and Pacquiao did.
Don't want to see the fight. GGG hits far too hard and Cotto is too tough and regularly fights himself to the point of death in fights he loses. He needs to fight Canelo and then move back down to 154, get redemption against Trout, then he can collect all the 154 belts. Or else just retire after Canelo.
GGG is the future, Cotto cuts and gets abrasions way too easy. GGG scores either a UD or TKO stoppage by referee or doctor.
GGG will demolish Cotto that's for sure.

Prime Cotto, GGG has no chance. Cotto is tougher and much more skilled. GGG is all power.
Miguel is fighting a lot better under Roach. I could see this fight going into the late rounds, especially since GGG is not a high volume puncher. He makes his punches count. GGG by late (T)KO.

Golovkin stops Miguel in 5 rounds, it would be brutal.
