Froch is a thinking fighter who is very durable despite his busy, frenetic style of fighting. Only a better thinking and younger fighter and with slightly superior boxing skill and defense like Andre Ward can beat him at 168-175 lbs. range. He will be fighting only other fighter to beat him on points, Kessler on May 25 and should he win, I think he has a big chance of also beating the old and jaded Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins looks great against limited and less smart fighters but in Froch, he will be meeting somebody entirely different from his previous foes and who is similar to the last fighter who thoroughly beat him up, Joe Calzhage.
this is a tough choice . i think froch could beat Bhop as he froch is to experienced to fall in to hopkins trap but look what happened to cloud . i wouldn't bet on this with any certainly
BQ i think cleverlys speed would beat hopkins
Froch would UD him in one of the ugliest fights ever.
Absolute clinch-fest written all over it.
i dont like catch weights.
Hopkins says that provided Froch beats Kessler on may 25th,he wants to fight him and would even be willing to agree on a catch weight.
I actually think this would be a very competitive fight and i'm struggling to pick a winner.Hopkins has the style to trouble the slower fighter but he's not exactly as swift as he used to be.
BQ-I think cleverly would have an easier nights work against hopkins.Agree/disagree?
