Food that represents a phobia for psychology class?

I'd probably go with rattlesnake. You can sometimes find it in specialty stores or on-line and properly cleaned it is good to eat. My uncle once killed a few and had them cleaned and canned. Tried it once - not quite like chicken or fish but somewhere in between. For something you need immediately see if you can find grasshoppers - deep fried and covered in chocolate.

Hmmm squirrel - good eats.

How about a cornish game hen (they are small like a bird) or quail if it is avaiable at a specialty market in your area even smaller than a game hen. Or go with Peeps (the little marshmallow birds found around easter).

Scropion - a small lobster or crayfish would be kind of close.

Birds-chicken KFC? :D

We're having a "phobia food lab" in my psychology class tomorrow. Basically, we bring in a food that somehow represents something we're scared of. I'm terrified of scorpions, birds, and squirrels, to name a few. The food only has to represent one fear though. We're actually eating the food, so it can't be something nasty. Thanks in advance for any ideas! :)
