marquez was never KOed, he got good physique, he can take punches, and he got hard punches....traits of a good puncher or swarmer
if beristain can train marquez to be aggressive, he might get floyd
cuz nobody can counter the master counter puncher, floyd cant be outboxed...
but he can be bullied, cotto proved it, castillo did it....
jmm was a bloated lightweight when he fought floyd at welterweight back in 2009....and floyd cheated his weight, imagine how heavy he stepped the ring that night? but it aint the same jmm now, heredia indeed modified him to a full blown welter...w/ an extra bomb on his righthand....all he need to do is not to be a counter-puncher against floyd...
ya, and maybe heredia can inject somethin to that chin so jmm wont get floored
hahahahaaaa
Marquez, himself said he doesn't want a Mayweather rematch because he said basically that everyone saw what happened the first time, so why do it again.
The reporter says Mayweather has five fights left, and proceeds to ask Marquez how many fights he think he has left, himself. Marquez misunderstands the question and thinks Secbach is apparently asking about a rematch.
Here was his response (fastforward to 1:04)
I dont know if its me or what, IMO there were times in that fight that Floyd would of stopped JMM and held back. This is a counter punching contest similar to the one the El Dinamita had vs El Sipilyo. If Casamayor nearly won that one with only counter punching in his arsenal, there's no argument of who's gonna win if there ever was a rematch. MArquez is one of the best counter puncher ever but he's in there with the greatest counter puncher of his time. Its a tough, great boxer vs a slick, quick, undefeated fighter in his prime best.
Floyd mayweather vs juan marquez rematch?
Its a total mismatch once again and again Floyd sends Marquez to school
The fight would have the same ending. A counter puncher fighting a longer, quicker counter puncher will result in the longer quicker counter puncher winning a decision based on winning more rounds. Marquez is the best counter puncher in the game aside from Mayweather but would lose to him every time.
Insanity - Trying the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.
That is what a rematch with Mayweather is.
Applying the boxing adage that "styles make fights", this fight would yield the same result - a lopsided win by Floyd Jr. They can fight 10 times and Floyd would win 9 times out of 10.
New collars, same dogs and the same dog will win like the first time.
If they were to fight again would it be different of the same? Its just a question that came to mind, cause Juan now has a video and could see his errors
