Norton was too big IMO for Patterson .Patterson was a small heavyweight that should have been fighting at light heavy, but his manager knew that the heavyweight division was where the money was. Johannson at 6' , Jimmy Ellis at 5'11" and others handled Patterson, so why shouldn't a big heavyweight that could box and hit, not be able to do the same. Norton by UD if anything.

The only people that really dominated Ken Norton were the punchers. George Foreman, Earnie Shavers, Gerry Cooney. However he did great against others like Muhammad Ali and Larry Holmes. Norton is also bigger. In my opinion, Norton boxes circles around him and wins a decision. Patterson was good and underrated, however if there were no big punchers during Norton's time, Norton would've been one of the top men of the Heavyweights.
