First birthday party food?

Feed him before the party.

I'd be more worried about someone giving him some food.

Can't you plan your menu around dairy free.

It's your party / home and the other guests should understand.

Keep it in a cupboard and just give it to him, a child of one won't even know its their birthday,a party is pretty pointless, we had no parties for our children until they were about 5, have you worked out how to keep your child out of the "normal" food?

My sons first birthday is coming up and because he is the only one there with a milk allergy he will be having separate food to the guests.

For example they will have normal chocolate, he will have dairy free chocolate, they will have normal cheese sandwiches, he will have lactofree sandwiches etc.

So my question is how would I make sure the guests don't take his ''special'' food by accident as it's going to be busy with 30 adults and 22 children(all close family)?
