Felix Trinidad by decision.
I think the fight could be competitive but Trinidad is defenately the better welterweight. Trinidad is also much bigger having a 4'' height advantage and an almost 7'' reach advantage [which is all amplified in the lower weight divisions].
Both men would land early but Trinidads jab would land more consistently and set up other punches. Trinidad lands a couple strong uppercuts and left hooks which put Cotto in survival mode, Trinidad wins most rounds.
Felix Trinidad knocks a prime cotto out
Felix Trinadad stood 5'11 which is 4 inches taller than Cotto ,plus Trinidad could punch much harder ,to top that off ,Trinidad defeated a prime De La Hoya.
Trinadad by MD.
Well let's see here, Trinidad got schooled by dlh but was awarded a gift decision, cotto was whooped by a plaster margarito. I think that cotto would give em one hell of a fight, but Trinidad might get away with his dirty bs like low blows (ex: Vargas. After Vargas started whooping his asz, Trinidad did some dirty shyt). In the end Trinidad would win by ud simply cause he was better unless cotto replicated dlh (without coasting 3 rounds cause of dumbasz corners) or Hopkins. They knew and implemented the blueprint to beating the dirty Trinidad. .
Would have been an amazing fight.
Trinidad would probably wear Cotto down with his power. Cotto lost to naturally smaller fighters in Pacquiao and Mayweather.
Only naturally bigger fighters beat Trinidad.
And Trindad had serious toe to toe knockout ability.
I don't see Cotto backing off to box like Jones, Wight and Hopkins.
That was the way to beat Trinidad.
Cotto would try to out fight Tito and in that event, he's coming out second best every time.
A whipping for Miguel at welterweight and light middle unfortunately. Love the guy, a true warrior with no regard for his long term health.
@Kool K: Oscar was robbed in that fight for sure.
Trinidad by UD, or Late TKO
Trinidad was a boxer I always thought was overrated.
I think Cotto would win
Both in their prime
