For a Buffet, go to a China Buffet, Cici Pizza Buffet, Sweet Tomato's Salad, Soup, Pasta Buffet.
Buffet's are the best choice for 50 people. More bang for your buck. Buffet's range from $6.00 - $9.95 per person.

Pasta is cheap to make. Cook 3# of penne or short pasta. Make sauce or buy it and fry up some hamburger to add to sauce. Put some cheese in it and add all ingredients together and put in baking dish. Bake in oven for about half hour to heat. Make a big salad, fruit salad and get some cheap chips and dips. Of course, a cake or cupcakes would be better- one for each person. If you want to take the easy way, just order pizzas and have some snacks like veggies and dip, drinks and cupcakes. Good luck to you and hope all has a great time.
I recommend getting like 7-10 pizzas you could get them at the grocery store cheaper than at a place like Dominos or Pizza Hit. Then chips and a large cake or 2
First off know it's for a 16th birthday. Secondly we have to cater to all ages (2-88) and my pregnant cousin, so don't suggest fish or anything like that.
