Does boxing reduce your ability to learn?

It is true that all contact sports may cause cognitive brain loss. Football is considered the worst sport.

Whether or not it affects you depends on how many times you get hit in the head and how hard you get hit.

Some boxers have suffered damage and some have not.

No, the Klitschko brothers have Phd's and they are the best in the heavyweight division at the moment

Not at all, in terms of just training. However getting punched in the head alot can increase your chances of brain trauma. Again this is far more common in professionals who have many fights and are getting punched by heavy hitters.

I don't know the exact answer, but every punch to the head kills brain cells.

A couple of wallops to the brain might not be got for studying

Highly probable. Floyd's the best example as the boy can not read shyt.

No not at all...................The only thing that might or could happen is you'll spend so much time enjoying the new training you'll forget to keep studying your school work. good luck.

Well, getting hit in the head repeatedly causes serious brain damage. And Mohamed Ali is seriously mentally slow and brain damaged from boxing.

If you get hit in the head a lot your brains can get scrambled.

If you fight like brandon Rios yes

I'm currently thinking of taking up boxing but I have heard that it can reduce your IQ. I am in school right now and learning a foreign language. If i decide to start boxing, will it start to affect my ability to learn/comprehend the language or the rest of my classes?
